South Bend St. Joseph Indians JV Wins Back-And-Forth Affair Against New Prairie

The Indians JV and New Prairie played a taut affair on Wednesday, but South Bend St. Joseph Indians eventually prevailed 5-3 after taking the lead for good in the fifth inning. The game was tied at three with the Indians batting in the bottom of the fifth.

New Prairie captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for New Prairie.
Michael Schroeder earned the win for South Bend St. Joseph Indians JV. He threw five innings, allowing three runs, seven hits, striking out four, and walking zero. Noah Hickey recorded the last three outs to earn the save for South Bend St. Joseph Indians JV. JC Turley took the loss for New Prairie. He went four and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs, seven hits, striking out four, and walking one.

Brady Gumpf went 3-for-3 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in.

New Prairie collected seven hits. Max McKorkel, Seth Long, and Turley each collected multiple hits for New Prairie.
