Girls Varsity Swimming · Four St. Joe Indians Earn All-American Honors

The National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (NISCA) has just released its All-American lists for the 2016-2017 high school swim season.

Four members of the St. Joseph High School Lady Indians Swimming and Diving Team have received High School All-American honors:

200 yard Medley Relay (81st place, 1:45.08): Ashley Jenkins, Aislinn Walsh, Lexi Spaulding and Lydia Schaeffer

100 Breaststroke (16th place, 1:01.53): Aislinn Walsh

For an athlete to achieve All-American honors, one must achieve the automatic qualifying time that was determined at the beginning of the season, or be one of the top 100 competitors under the consideration standard.

The 200 yard freestyle relay (Aislinn Walsh, Ashley Jenkins, Clare Jachim, Lydia Schaeffer) barely missed earning All-American status by 0.94 seconds.
