Meet Recap

The St. Joe boys cross country team had four runners in the top twenty seven on their path towards the podium at the 50th annual New Prairie Cross Country Invite. The Indians placed 4th in Class AA for the 2nd year in a row. 105 schools from 4 states competed in the meet.

Skip Morrell finished 2nd, Bill Powers 10th, Saul Garcia 24th, and Joe Deahl 27th to all receive individual awards among the top forty. Despite the heat and a challenging course, 6 boys ran season best times. As late September looms, inter team competition for the remaining Varsity team spots will be a big focus the next two weeks heading towards the post season.
