INDIAN FOOTBALL SPOTLIGHT ANDY HAN SR #35 K/P
Saint Joe football has meant more to me than I ever thought it would. Coming in as a freshman soccer player, I had no idea what I was getting into. Growing up I always loved watching football, but I never had any real desire to play. Going into freshman year, my dad suggested that I take up kicking. Without any hesitation I said yes and immediately fell in love with it. Freshman year I played both soccer and football, but after having a year of kicking footballs under my belt, I decided to stop playing soccer and take up football full time.
I have loved every moment of playing Saint Joe football, from watching my first JV extra point split the uprights, to being the starting varsity kicker and playing on Friday nights. A few of my favorite memories are going to semi-state sophomore year, starting my first game as a junior, and celebrating after wins with my best friends. There is nothing in the world like celebrating a Friday night win with my brothers. Not only has Saint Joe football given me some unforgettable memories, it has also given me friends that I know I will have for the rest of my life. If I had never joined football, I know that I would not be as close to the friends I have today, and my life would be completely different.
