Girls Junior Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls’ Soccer advances to IHSAA Semi-State

The Indians shut out Highland and West Lafayette in route to winning the IHSAA Regional Championship at Plymouth High School today.

In the first match against Highland, Sydney Vasile scored the first goal. She then assisted on a goal by Georgia Place. The Indians held a 2-0 lead heading into half time.  In the second half Place scored twice more, once unassisted, and one assisted by Caroline Edmonds. Kamryn Wieschhaus and Grace Miller shared the shutout.

The second match saw the Indians off to a quick start and perhaps the best half of soccer they’ve played this year.  Scoring came from Place off a corner kick from Mia Killilea, an unassisted goal by Andrea Romo, a free kick by Killilea, and a Maddie Eckrich goal off another corner kick from Killilea.  The half-time score was 4-0.  Romo scored again in the second half on a free kick and Indians won 5-0.  Wieschhaus had another shut out.

The team advances to the semi-state round.  Sites will be announced after all regional rounds have been completed.
