All Saint Joseph High School athletes, as well as feeder school athletes, are invited to attend free weekly speed training sessions on Thursday nights at the high school track. Speed applies to ALL SPORTS and is only developed doing true speed work, not in game or practice situations. Format will be:
1.Dynamic warmup drills
2. Speed mechanics drills
3. Timed sprint efforts- using Fully Automatic Timing with the Freelap system- all results will be recorded, ranked, and published to measure progress.
Sessions are Thursdays from 7-8:15 PM- June 13, 20, and 27 and July 11, 18, and 25. There is no cost to attend, and track spikes are encouraged for the timed sprint efforts.
