Lesher’s Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Indians Victory Over South Bend Riley
Indians defeated South Bend Riley 3-2 on Tuesday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at two with Indians batting in the bottom of the sixth when Bryce Lesher singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Indians pitchers struck out four, while Daniel Compton sat down two.
Indians opened up scoring in the first inning, when Stefanek singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Indians tied things up at two. Caleb Hlade singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
Bryce Lesher took the win for Indians. He lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one.
Compton took the loss for South Bend Riley. He went five and a third innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out two.
Seth Snyder started the game for Indians. He surrendered two runs on two hits over four innings, striking out three.
Stefanek went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Indians in hits.
