With summer-like weather on Saturday, the JV football team got back on the winning track in their first home game in a month. Asante Anglin ran for an 80 yard touchdown on the first offensive play of the game. Jacob Deahl kicked the extra point. Later in the half, a tribe of Indians tackled the Blazer opponent in the end zone for a safety. On the next play, Anglin returned the free kick 70 yards to the house and the Indians were up by two touchdowns. Walter Wesson later punched in a 7 yard run for a touchdown as the Indians took a 21-0 lead into halftime. The Blazers came into of the second half angry and were able to score two touchdowns of their own in the third quarter. The Indian defense dug in for the fourth quarter and held the remaining Elkhart attacks at bay. St. Joe JV remains undefeated at home this year after finishing the game 21-14.
