The St. Joe Lady Indians took a step towards their season goals tonight by besting the Wildcats of South Bend Riley 133-37 at the Riley home pool. Despite adversity and a nomadic start to their season, the Indians delivered by producing fifteen personal best times and winning close races. Extraordinary efforts were evident all around but of particular note were Jane Lloyd in the 200 IM, Katie Jachim in the 50 free, Cecelia Doran in the 100 free, Lucy Van Meter in the 500 free, Catie Oross in the 100 back, and Rebecca Pan in the 100 breast. When asked about the win, assistant coach PJ O’Hara stated, “I’ve never seen a more talented freshman class at St. Joe. This will be a magical season.” Next meet for St. Joe will be a talented New Prairie squad on Tuesday, November 20th at home.
