The 1st rated 2A St Joseph Boys varsity soccer team continued their undefeated play at the Mishawaka Marian Sectional which was moved to Penn High school due to field conditions. St. Joseph beat Culver Academies 2-1 in a well contested win their 9th straight Sectional. St Joseph scored first on a goal by JP Raster assisted by David Deputy in the 27th minute. A minute later Culver Academies knotted the score at 1-1 to finish the half. In the second half Kyle Smith scored the winning goal on an assist by Adam Wozniak in the 63rd minute.
St. Joseph will take on Hammond Bishop Noll in the second game of the Mishawaka Marian Regional which is set for 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 13th. The Regional Championship will follow at 7:00 pm.
