Joe Rotkis wasted no opportunities at the plate on Monday, driving in four on three hits to lead South Bend St. Joseph Indians Varsity past South Bend Riley 12-2 on Monday. Rotkis drove in runs on a home run in the first and a double in the seventh.
In the first inning, South Bend St. Joseph Indians Varsity got their offense started when Rotkis homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
AJ Klimek led the South Bend St. Joseph Indians Varsity to victory on the mound. He allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Noah Hickey and Rotkis entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. South Bend St. Joseph Indians Varsity launched two home runs on the day. Rotkis had a four bagger in the first inning. Nick Dolniak went for the long ball in the sixth inning.
