Cross Country Summer Update

Monday July 6th is the return to practice date for all IHSAA fall sports. Voluntary summer practices will be offered July 6th-August 1st at the times listed below, with special emphasis placed on the rules below. Athletes will be screened daily by coaches using the Final Forms app before being allowed entry to the stadium.

Winter Speed and Movement Training Sessions

Winter speed and movement sessions will continue every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for all out of season student athletes. Sessions last from 3:35-4:40 pm. December- Functional Movement Sessions

Winter WO schedule Track & Field Head Coach Mike McCarthy will lead functional movement and mobility sessions four mornings during December. All athletes from all teams are encouraged to attend and develop foundational athletic skills including barefoot exercises, balance and speed drills, and hip mobility routines. Track & Field Winter Meeting

There will be an organizational meeting for track & field athletes on Monday November 25th at 3:25 pm in Room 246. Winter conditioning opportunities will be given. The meeting will take ten minutes.

Cross Country Banquet

The 2019 cross country team banquet will be 6 pm Sunday November 17th at the Leep Family Dining Hall. There is no cost to attend and no RSVP needed. Pizza will be served but attendees are asked to bring sides, salads, and drinks. Sign up information can be found on the e-mail sent from parent

Cross Country Season Review

The cross country season ended Saturday at the IHSAA Semistate with a solid performance from Senior Josh Juday. Josh ran his 2nd fastest career time in a well run strategic race to represent St. Joe. With the season complete all team members should plan to meet Wednesday October 30th at 3:25 pm in Room 246.

Eight St. Joe Runners Named Academic All State

The Indiana Association of Track & Cross Country Coaches (IATCCC) revealed its 2019 Academic  All State team today and eight St. Joe cross country runners were recognized. To be eligible, student-athletes must be in grade 11 or 12, on the Sectional roster, and meet both the 3.5 or higher GPA standard and 1200 SAT/30 ACT

Boys and Girls Cross Country Advance to Regional
